remindeer ("we", "the app") is a reminder application operated by Dominik Škoda, Business ID 29627389, registered at Smetanova 208/3, 460 01 Liberec, Czech Republic. This policy explains what personal data we collect and why. Contact: support@remindeer.io.
Data we collect
- Account information: your email address, and — if you sign in with Google — your name and basic profile information provided by Google.
- Content you create: the reminders you add (title, notes, dates, completion status).
- Technical data: authentication cookies required to keep you signed in.
- Notifications: if you enable them, a technical identifier used to deliver push notifications (an ID for your device or browser).
- Household sharing: if you create or accept an invite to a household, we share your email address and the reminders you mark as shared with the other household members.
Legal basis
We process your personal data primarily to perform our contract with you — providing the service you set up by creating an account (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). Account data is processed for the duration of your account.
How we use it
We use your data only to provide the service: to authenticate you, store and show your reminders, and send account-related emails such as sign-up confirmation. We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.
Service providers
We rely on these providers to run remindeer; they process data on our behalf:
- Supabase — authentication and database (hosted in the EU).
- Google — Sign in with Google (OAuth).
- Resend — sending emails (account confirmation, reminder alerts, household invites).
- Vercel — application hosting.
- Stripe — payment processing for remindeer Pro subscriptions.
Transfers outside the EU
Your primary data store is in the EU (Supabase, Frankfurt). Some providers (Resend, Vercel, Stripe) may process data outside the EU, in particular in the USA. Where that happens, the transfer is covered by the EU Standard Contractual Clauses and/or the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.
Retention
We keep your data for as long as your account exists. When you delete your account, the associated data is removed.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to access, correct or erase your personal data, to restrict or port the processing, and to withdraw consent at any time. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority — the Czech Office for Personal Data Protection (uoou.gov.cz). To exercise your rights, write to support@remindeer.io.
Changes
We may update this policy; the "last updated" date reflects the latest version.
